Baseball: Hawks All Tied Up in Final Two Comal Tournament Games

Canyon Lake was all tied up as they finished their last two Comal Tourney games with the same number of runs as their opponent as they now boast a 3-3-3 record for the season.

The Hawks are being sure that the concession stand is busy until the last inning as CL scored 2 runs in the last inning in the Del Valle game and 4 runs in the last inning with Lehman.

It only took 5 hits for their 9 runs with Lehman game while the Hawks got 10 hits for their game with Del Valle.

Cody Powell doubled and tripled in the Lehman game as Canyon Lake had 4 extra base hits and only one single in that game.

Powell batted .500 for the two games with 4 hits.

The top of the batting order was 8 for 16 from the plate in the tie game with Del Valle and had an on base average of .625 in the game with Lehman.

Canyon Lake finished the Comal tournament with their best record as this tourney many times has larger schools to play.

There were several good things to see from several of the players as Coach Trent Dunavant can certainly find enough other items to work on as district play it is right around the corner.
