=================================================
Last year, Dawkins was The Lake’s top performing player overall. Dawkins won a lot in mix doubles and also her share of singles matches. McAuliffe was Dawkins partner last year, but this year, McAuliffe will focus on singles and boys doubles. Griffin and Dawkins played in several spring tourneys last year and made it to the finals in 2 tournaments. Dawkins made it to the finals in 1 tournament in singles last spring. Lara/Baker dual made the finals in 1 tournament last year and made semis twice in boys

doubles.
During the 2018 season, the Hawks had 15 kids playing, this year, those numbers have soared with 27 students coming out which will justify a full varsity team and almost a full JV team. Canyon Lake will have a few players playing on both JV and Varsity different weeks so to help in not having to have forfeit matches.
Coach Mickey will have a big group of freshman and several freshman who made the varsity squad…Kylie Rust, Hayley Jackson, Colby Jackson, Cecilia Lalonde and. Avery Golden
Captains this year will be Stormie Dawkins, Rico Griffin (both seniors)
Returning varsity has Haley Gallagher who will play both doubles and singles as CL’s. Gallagher is one of the harder workers and is a great teammate.

Gabriel Lara and Colin Baker adds to Hawk tennis depth.
Matt Anderson and Zachary Elson are baseball guys who are playing fall tennis and will contribute in playing doubles.
Canyon Lake has a lot of beginning tennis players, so this year’s goals will be to grow this program, improve skills, and compete every time out.
Other returning varsity player not mentioned…Thomas Liggett who will play doubles or singles in CL’s #6 spot.
Junior Varsity will include Tanner Adams, Cooper Blackburn, Travis Parma, Frasier McNew, Mason Bolin, Mattison Kitzel, Bekah Tucker, Gwen Mccutchen, CJ Mccormick, Isabella Smith.
