Let’s Go Hawks!!
District 13-4A Division I is starting to take shape after 4 games and one non-district contest remaining before the real season starts.
Canyon Lake played a tough 5A opponent their loss to Alamo Heights (38-21) and will now face a 3A Blanco in two weeks, a team that has started slow this year sporting a 1-3 slate.
The Lake failed to take the field in the second half in their loss to the Mules with the scored tied 14 all before coming out for the 2nd Half kick-off. AH scored 24 points before CL could get their feet and final TD with under 5 minutes left to play. Canyon Lake vs. Alamo Heights write-up.
Austin LBJ has made their statement games count against Waco La Vega and Liberty Hill and look to be the clear favorite for the crown this season.
Fredericksburg was beaten by Wimberley.and will face another tough opponent with Boerne this week.
The Taylor Ducks have served notice that they plan to make some noise this year after their 3rd win over La Vernia and stand with a very respectable 3-1 record.
Lampasas had a tough outing against State Ranked China Spring as the Badgers lost a lot of talent to graduation last May and are still searching for some footing going into their game with Gatesville.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
Burnet is still looking for their first win this season but did show some life in their narrow loss to Brownwood, 31-26. This Bulldog team will be playing a game during the off week for the rest of the district after having to cancel a game due to Covid.
The team stats below will show where teams are on both sides of the ball and for the most part prove their record above.
Canyon Lake will need to get their footing against Blanco with their first district opponent on the road with Austin LBJ.

======================================================

Way to Go Hawks!!
With each week of games the picture gets clearer on how District 13-4A Division I will shape up in three weeks.
Austin LBJ had an eye-opening win over Waco La Vega by 21 points. The Jaguars defense gave up just one score and their offense continues to excel by running or passing the ball.
Fredericksburg is still unbeaten and their best win was over Kerrville with two wins over sub-par opponents in Sam Houston and Gonzales. Tivy has yet to win a game but this week a game against Wimberley will give the Hawk fans a better idea on the Billies will play during district.
Wimberley beat Lampasas handily last week but the Badgers offense did have a lot of yardage with their biggest concern coming from their defensive side of the ball.
Taylor has been the surprise school thus far sporting a 2-1 record after a dismal no-win campaign last year. Not much known bout their victims thus far but last season those were all losses.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
Burnet had their game cancelled with Boerne last week and will go on the road to Brownwood this week as the Bulldogs have struggled in their first two contests.
A tough district as The Lake continues their high quality schedule in San Antonio this Friday against Alamo Heights. The Mules are undefeated after tagging Central Catholic with their first loss last Friday.
Canyon Lake’s offense did step it up in last week’s win and that still needs some improvement against teams that can field a solid defensive front. CL’s tough schedule will come in handy when district starts.
