The CL Hawk Volleyball season got underway against two heavyweight programs that started at 10am with Canyon Lake pitted against Schertz Clemens.
Junior Shayne Moss will be one of many running backs returning this season.
Canyon Lake had a hit or miss offensive season last year. There were games that had the slot-t plowing through defenses scoring 61 and 48 points against La Grange and La Vernia and then reaching just 14 points against Austin LBJ. Three other battles was low in points scored finishing in the 20s playing Wimberley, Fredericksburg, and Jourdanton.

Three Sport Athlete Peyton McMullen, signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Texas A&M University-Texarkana last Wednesday at CLHS.

CL Hawks had a magical season especially when it came to those final innings with several games being decided in those final at bats.
None, however will top the Boerne Battle when CL was going through some doldrums and a very choppy roller-coaster ride during the middle of their season. A back and forth with a win or a loss with those outings finding scoring becoming a visit to your local dentist. Read the rest here »

The Reagan - Smithson Valley game 3 that is scheduled before the CL game might push back the Hawk’s contest until a 10pm start with a drop dead at midnight and a continuation on Monday. The Field is playable 15 minutes after the last drop of rain.
