Bracken Christian got back at Kerrville OLH on Saturday with a three game sweep, 25-18, 25-21, and 25-19.
Just a couple of weeks ago this same Warriors team was beaten in Kerrville after enjoying substantial leads in two of the games. The ability of not finishing was their downfall.
Jump up the calendar from that dreadful night and you will see a team that now enjoys a five game district winning streak and is tied for first place.
The Warriors are now starting their second round through district and are jockeying for playoff seeding.

It was an epic battle, as the Bracken Christian Volleyball team held off Waldorf in a five game set on Friday night.
The win was important, since the Waldorf team was undefeated in district play.
Now BCS finds themselves with the same number of losses and a chance to forge into a tie with a victory Saturday against Kerrville OLH.
OLH was the only loss for the Warriors through the first round of district play.
BCS started the set on fire as they lapped the Waldorf team. With the score 11-9, Becky Korkosz and Briana Martinez served the team with a 12 point rally and winning the game by 13 points, 25-12.
Every time during the game, Korkosz was able to send her serve exactly where Coach Shaunna Teuton was instructing.

Ehren Jacobson Rams through the Wildcats
Bracken Christian (BCS) Warriors controlled the New Braunfels Christian (NBC) Wildcats on both sides of the line winning on Saturday night, 55-0.
Taking the initials of both schools would give you a whole different battle: BCS (Bowl Championship Series) vs. NBC (National Broadcasting Channel).
Based on that criteria, the BCS entity will not be telecasted by NBC anytime in the near future.

The Bracken Volleyball team used a good passing game to overcome the Knights of Austin Hill Country, 25-23, 25-14, and 25-19.
The game started like it would be a give and take series, but the Warriors stated clicking and the Knights just could not keep up.
“We had great ball control on defense,” Head Coach Shaunna Teuton said. “The team was helping each other and did not let down.”
This time Coach Teuton was stating the obvious. The Warriors did not have any one girl dominate, Bracken was playing like the ‘Borg’ on Star Trek the Next Generation, as the collective.

Bracken Christian dug deep and left Summit grasping for air in the three game sweep of their District foe, winning 25-6, 25-2, and 25-10.
The game evened the record for the Warriors after losing in four games to OLH earlier this week in Kerrville.
The Warriors were at the door step against OLH, but never knocked on the door and finish the game. BCS had a 21-10 lead and could not finish.
It happened again in the second game when the Warriors were rolling along with an eight point lead with the same result.

The Bracken Middle School fumbled away the win in the fourth quarter against Concordia Lutheran at Warrior Stadium, 13-6.
“We need to work on everything,” Head Coach Steve Dement intercepted. “We will work on our secondary coverage.”
The sad part of this story was how in control of the game the Warriors were in spite of the blunders. Gaining 83 more yards than the Cardinals for the game and the Middle School ending the game on Concordia’s five yard line.
“We had a lot of anxiety,” Quarterback Sterling Garnett said. “We need to keep practicing and we will get better.”
