Keith Doerfler is putting together 14U and 16U Summer League Teams.
I (Doerfler) went through the “select baseball” system with my son and soon became frustrated. After paying the select team high fees, the apparel and equipment that is required by their sponsors, it would start with good training/coaching but then it start to deteriorate.

Yes, the result was not what we wanted but the excitement and hoopla was something that is not a common occurrence around these parts. The Hawks scored first but could not hold that lead in losing, 2-1 to Midlothian Heritage.
What a year for these athletes and one that will be remembered as there is now a blazed trail for other CL sports in having goals of achieving.
All of those Soccer Battles were to the wire and was action filled and The ReSporter as well as the Hawk Nation would like to say Congratulations and thanks for the ride.
Softball finished their season last Tuesday in a loss to Bandera and will see if they can re-group for next year as this group of ladies lost just one Senior and should have plenty of weapons when next year starts coming.
Baseball is still in the heat of battle as they are in ‘heated’ battle with Fredericksburg as these two will have a big game this Tuesday with the winner enjoying an inside track for that final play-off spot in the standings.
Come out and watch the last sporting event on CL’s Nest for a game that will start with the first pitch at 7:00pm.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
Track & Field will be in action on Friday and Saturday when the Region Qualifiers will see if they can qualify for the State Meet in May.
The ReSporter will share an article this week on how other athletes from around South Texas did in similar events that your Hawks will be running or throwing or jumping.
Go Hawks!!
