Call” will cover this week’s football game as the Hawks ( 4-2) take on the visiting Austin Eastside Memenorial ( 1-4) starting with The Paul Swoyer Septic’s pregame Show @ 6:15pm.
CLB has now given away 2,075.00 of cash and prizes through 5 football games this season, interviewed 4 opposing coaches, 10 student athletes and 5 CLHS coaches.
CLB has averaged 1,189 listeners per week for CLHS Football games and has exposed 13 local Sponsors to these listeners.
On a consistent basis we have listeners in “Montana, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia, S. Korea, Alabama, Connecticut, Oklahoma and many more on an irregular basis. The local number of listeners avg.’s 64% of the 1,141 which equals to 922 in the county.
At the Friday night game will give away to the crowds in the stands- 20 T- shirts to whoever catches them as a continued “give back to CLHS”.

Hawks Outrun an Eagle in Win over Akins, 56-28

The CL game with Austin Akins was an offensive showcase as the Hawks and Eagles flew all over the field scoring 84 total points.
Canyon Lake’s running game was in sync as the Hawks averaged, 10.3 yards per play with another explosive night of fireworks.
“I am proud of the kids,” Head Coach Charlie Drum started. “We knew we would be able to move the ball and the (Lee) Stafford interception helped in getting us going.”
“This was a track meet and we are starting to get healthy,” Coach Drum said while commenting on all of the players that have missed games this year. “We had been in the fire and when we were down we were able to respond.”

MVMS 7A Squad had Burnet MS Genuflecting to Hawks in Loss, 28-8

Mountain Valley’s 7A team failed to score in just two of their possessions as Burnet ran for cover when the Hawks swooped down on the Bullpups, 28-8.
MV held Burnet to a paltry 2 yards per play as the Hawks dominated both sides of the line in having their way in this contest.
There was just one explosive play by Burnet Middle School when Moses Solis found an open lane to the end-zone after catching a pass for the only score for the visitors.
MV Hawks 7th B Squad Potty Trains Bullpups in, 14-0 Win
Thursday, October 5th, 2017Mountain Valley 7th Grade continues their winning ways as the A & B team both ran over the Burnet Bullpups on Thursday at the Hawk Field.
MV B squad was first up by playing a defense that would have Burnet with only 2 plays that went for positive yardage. Two 2 yard runs was the totality of the damage these Pups would inflict on the Hawks.
Mountain Valley Middle School Invites Fans to see Games on Thursday

Greene, Bates and Ramey implore the Hawk Nation for their attendance on Thursdays as this week the 7th Grade teams will be playing Burnet at home while the 8th Grade go on the road for their battle.
