As Easy as 1-2-3 with Peyton McMullen, Noah DuMenil, and Ryan Rivali
Canyon Lake Freshman scored the first 30 points in quick fashion and then waited for the clock to expire in a convincing win over the Battlin Bilies, 30-14.
“We played with a smaller group tonight,” Freshman Coach Javier Almanza said. “We played with no excuses and we worked on focusing on our preparation….we had been practicing well and being a scout team for the varsity has really made a difference in our preparation.”
Interviews with Ryan Rivali, Peyton McMullen, and Noah DuMenil are below the Game Stats.

Bade Holland and Sam Zinn take in the next game after taking Boerne to the woodshed
Mountain Valley’s 8th Grade B squad took the Greyhounds to a Horse Track as there was no way this Boerne team would leave the field with any kudos in a, 30-0 conquest.
“Our ‘B’ team played their best game of the season,” Coach Brandon Pawelek said. “With scoring 4 touchdowns and shutting out Boerne, we were able to rotate in a lot of our kids on the offense and we still moved the ball and controlled the clock.”
Yes, several players had a chance to run with the ball as 12 different Hawks gained yardage against the Greyhounds.
MV would allow just 18 total yards for Boerne while racking up 236 yards in a quick fashion.

Canyon Lake pulled off their biggest upset in the past 10 years when the Hawks won the coin toss and game over the previous (7-0) and now (7-1) Boerne Greyhounds.
Yes, the coin flip was a big win for CL as that simple routine before a game allowed the Hawks to take the ball and drain every bit of air out of that oblong object.
