Canyon Lake rushed out for a 37-17 halftime lead, as the Hawks, put a leash on the Bulldogs and now rest atop District 28-4A with a 3-1 record after the first round of play, beating Bandera, 57-32.
Canyon Lake will have a chance of keeping their 1st Place spot with a win over Bandera tonight.
The Varsity Game will start after the Hawk JV contest with pre-game at 6:15pm and Tip-Off following at 6:30pm.
Canyon Lake is presently tied for 1st Place with Fredericksburg and Boerne as they go to battle in tonight’s contest.
The Billies and Greyhounds will be battling each other tonight and the winner will be tied with Canyon Lake if they can win tonight.

The Lady Hawks will be searching for their first District 28-4A win this evening when they take on the Hondo Owls at the Hawk Nest with tip-off commencing at 6:30pm.
Canyon Lake already has achieved their best win total in the short Hawk history and will need to break through tonight as this is the time that wins are more important.

Hondo has been ranked as high as 25th in some polls this season and taking care of business is a must.
