Canyon Lake’s big win last week will go a long way as the District 13-4A half-way mark commences this week and the standings show couplings with teams that have a chance to get an inside track for a good seeding or on a track that might be a train barreling down on two of these schools.

A litmus test had it’s first run with this first week of district games now in the books.

Canyon Lake’s football season and District 13-4A is entering the final 5 weeks of battles and there is now enough games played that can shed light on who might be the toughest and who has a shot with those 4 playoff spots.

District 13-4A Division I continues with an impressive 5 teams that have a .500 record or better with Davenport (4-0) leading the pack without a loss.
Every team in District 13 has won a game except for Canyon Lake who was leading Fredericksburg before lightning caused a suspension with no decision.

CL’s Baseball Team found that they still have a ways to go in order to finish this season strong after suffering a one run loss to Wimberley and then succumbing to 5A Boerne Champion, 5-3 on Saturday.
CL Hawks finish first round of District 28-4A with 3-2 record with 3 weeks left of action.
Canyon Lake got a significant win on Friday after scoring in all 7 innings resulting in a, 10-4 win putting the Hawks with a 3-2 District 28-4A record.
Catcher Chance Anderson continues a strong defense with 2 passed balls in 83 innings of work.
Canyon Lake will start district play next Tuesday and as the standings show below is seeing a Boerne club that has compiled an almost perfect record with many of their victories against stiffer competition.

This Tuesday the Hawk’s Girls Soccer regular season comes down to a final game facing Fredericksburg on the road and needing a win or tie which will put, The Lake, in post-season play.
