Lake Drives Jaguar to, 50-40 District Championship Trophy

Canyon Lake rode their Jaguar to a 50-40 win and captured their 3rd District Championship with a match-up against Pleasanton at Medina Valley Creek View High School with kick-off … 7pm…this Friday.
These LBJ Jaguars had a tough year but proved to be no pushover with the return of their stud quarterback who posed problems with his run and passing.
The Lake was able to score on their first drive for the fourth game in a row and the sixth time this season.

It was a LBJ fumble deep in Canyon Lake’s territory that had the Hawks starting on their 5 yard line.
Their was 10 plays with a 41 yard strike from Jace Wheeler to Kobe Halverson which set CLake up for for a touchdown with a Halverson jet sweep and Carson Walker run for two points that would give The Lake a lead for they would never relinquish.
CLHS scored on all but two drives which came about by a fumble and halftime festivities.
The Jaguars first score came with 6:30 on the 2nd quarter clock and a matching two point conversion.
LBJ had their second fumble that stopped their last drive before half as that miscue had the home team on Lake’s 11 yard line.

Canyon Lake would score on their first four possessions in the second half that had LBJ playing catch-up.
It was fitting that another lost fumble for Austin LBJ would have Canyon Lake forming their victory formation followed with hoisting a District Championship Trophy.
But that Jaguar Test-Drive was pretty rewarding.
Way to Go District Champs Lake!
