Canyon Lake Hawks upped their record to 3-1 in the Austin Crockett Basketball Tournament after sweeping their two games with Lampasas and Austin McCollum.
The McCollum contest did not produce much sweat for the Lady Hawks as this Austin school would only reach 13 points for the entire game. CL scored that number of points in the first quarter allowing for some rest as the tournament continues with two more battles on Saturday.

Canyon Lake won the coin toss and never played from behind for the rest of the game beating the Gatesville Hornets, 31-21 in a Bi-District game.
“We are making history,” Head Coach Charley Drum commented. “This is a group we challenged at halftime and we came out and played all three phases of the game well in that second half.”

Canyon Lake will be on the road to Cedar Park for their Bi-District contest with the Gatesville Hornets.
This should be an entertaining affair as CL will work on reaching the next round for their first time in the past 3 years.
There has been some research and a Hornets sting will find it hard to penetrate a Hawk’s wings.
Go Hawks!!
