Hawks prepare for another set in second game to start season last Tuesday.
Canyon Lake’s Volleyball Squad started a new Hawk Year of Sports this past Tuesday against two powerhouse School’s in losing to Liberty Hill and Clemens.
The ReSporter: You are in new ground for length of stay at one school, what has been your likes for being The Hawks Volleyball Coach?
Head Coach Kim Clemons
Coach Clemons: “I really appreciate the opportunity (6 years ago) to come in and set a standard and philosophy for the Hawk Volleyball program and Girls Athletics as a whole. Comal ISD and specifically Canyon Lake High School, is a GREAT place to work and be a part of! I am truly blessed and I tell everyone how proud I am to be a part of such an AMAZING school district! We have something special here at the lake and in Comal ISD that I know other school districts have a hard time matching up with! The opportunities for growth as a teacher and coach are limitless, and they truly care about us and our performances, so that they will provide as many tools as possible for us to be successful. I am PROUD to begin my 7th year at Canyon Lake High School.”

With Football Season within striking distance, The ReSporter wanted to give some rushing stats.
This will be the 10th year for The ReSporter and the Hawks will be starting their 11th campaign. That first year of stats are not recorded so the rushing numbers are based on 10 seasons.
Hope this helps during these dog days of Summer.
Go Hawks!!

TOP 10 DECADE TEAMS/EVENTS #9
Canyon Lake was in their second year when winning would be more plausible after a first year of many losses due to depth and not having any Seniors.
So. Running Back Zach Henshaw rushed over 1000 yards during 2009 Season.
The ReSporter has just finished our 9th year being the Canyon Lake Sport’s source.
Canyon Lake High School has finished their 10th year and The ReSporter wanted to have a count down for a Top 10 Sporting Events/Teams.

Mountain Valley found that baseball can be a cruel sport after blazing through their first 3 contests, that fourth and final game will not be in their frontal lobe if they know what is good for them in losing, 10-1 to Smithson Valley Middle School.
Bailey Bryan is surrounded by Coaches and Family for her next stop to Concordia University. (Josh Bryan, Bailey Bryan, Christy Bryan. Top Row: Tosha Ridgeway, John Gallagher, Kim Clemons, Hayley Galloway)
Bailey Bryan will be taking her Softball Skills to Concordia and will look to continue her dominance on the diamond as this young lady was certainly dominant during her 4 year stint at the Hawk Nest.
Chance Martelli surrounded by family, friends & Coaches.
Chance Martelli will be running to West Texas A&M when school starts after Summer after signing his letter of intent to run like a Buffalo.
