============================+++++++++++++++++++++++===================

Volleyball started district play with a 1-1 record and will have their home opener this Tuesday when Fredericksburg comes to the Hawk Nest.
With 3 of the schools solidified in the States Top 10 it would stand that with 3 schools fighting for that last post-season spot becomes a main focus.
This this week with Fredericksburg being one of the schools not in the top 10 has this game taking on a whole different relevance for the Hawks needing a win as last week’s road game with Bandera ended with a Lake sweep against those Bulldogs.
Last year, The Lake finished 4th and still was able to go 3-1 on post-season play losing to Wimberley in a Region IV battle for a final 4 berth.
Lake Football fought hard but still came up short for their opening district contest against Davenport.

This week will have the Hawks on the road to Taylor for a chance to even their record and keep their hopes alive in securing a playoff spot.
The Hawk’s Sub-Varsities will be home this Thursday for a battle of the birds….a good time to come out and see how future Lake teams will be perform.
CL’s JV is 2-1 with the Freshman (4-0) still sporting an undefeated slate.
These 9th Graders would compare with the teams during those 2016-2018 years.
A team with lots of depth on both sides of the ball while averaging, 42-10 scores thus far.
In last week’s Cross Country results had Sophomore Sophie Eastland with a 2nd place finish needing just two seconds improvement for a 1st place….Eastland was just 7 seconds from breaking the 12 minute barrier.
CC Hawk Boys finished in 8th place as a team with Baret McDermott finishing 12th (17:25.50) and Gibson Cover with a 21st finish (17:49.90) time.
Way to GO LAKE!!
