                             Let’s GO LAKE!

The Lake had a decent week with Softball & Baseball each having a district win.

Softball took Bandera Dogs to the woodshed, 13-3 with a good pitching night for Melody Manos securing her 3rd win of the year. The Hawks used some key hits that helped secure this victory using their first (5 runs) and third inning (6 runs) helping to overcome a 2 run deficit to secure this conquest.

Baseball used that same script in getting their first district win after Hayes Holladay struck-out 13 Dragons in giving up just two singles in his, 4-0 shut-out.

This was a much needed win after losing their first 3 contests which will hopefully wrestle some momentum against a very good opponent this week playing Davenport.

               Proud of the Hawks!

On Saturday, The Lake, will welcome Navarro to the Nest as all three teams get on the diamond for a chance to get a fine-tuning contest as district reaches the half-way mark.

Track & Feld will be in action with this start of the District Meet on Monday @ 8:00am in Fredericksburg with finals for 3200 meter run and Field Events. Those running events will be slimmed down to athletes that qualified for Wednesday’s final day and will start at 4:00pm as CLake tries to qualify students for an Area Meet next.

Spring Sports start to thin out (much like The ReSporter’s hair line) this month as the athletes prepare for their final lap of this year.

Keep it up LakeGO Hawks!

Hawk’s Softball Get Great Manos Outing in , 13-3 Win

Friday, April 3rd, 2026

Hawk’s Softball With a Recap from Coaches after 1st District Win. Go Lake!

             Way to GET HITS HAWKS!

The Lake Softball got their first win in district play in a run ruled contest with Bandera, 13-3.

Canyon Lake scored 5 runs in the bottom of the opening frame after these Bulldogs sent 8 players to the plate in scoring to take an early 2 run lead.

BHS scratch one hit in that first inning but the damage was light when Melody Manos had a strike-out with the bases loaded ending Bandera’s threat.

Manos found her groove the rest of the way in this white-wash not issuing any more base-on-balls and surrendering just two more hits in that final inning allowing just one more run for these Visitors.

It was Manos that stood tall in the circle working the next three frames of 3 Up and 3 Down sequences using 5 of her 7 total strikeouts during those innings.

                  Way to GO LAKE!

Alleigh Jones reached base on all 4 of her plate appearances scoring 3 runs and producing 2 rbi’s on her hard hit double on her second at bat.

Kelsey Unrue also doubled up two singles scoring two runs and also reaching base 3 times as the Hawks scored 6 runs in their 3rd inning leading to this run ruled outing.

Bandera coaxed another run in the top of the 5th inning that continued this contest but it would be Alleigh Jones working a one out walk in her next appearance then using a wild-pitch, error, and then raced home on a passed ball for the run ruled win, 13-3.

The Lake is a very young squad but a lot of good happenings in this battle shows what will be coming with each game of experience that will continues to add up.

Way to Go Lake!

Come Worship Easter With Us This Week! He Has Risen Indeed!

Sometimes there are some bad weeks and last week would qualify as one of those disappointing times.

The Lake’s Lady Soccer finished short in a loss to London when the Hawks were outscored on penalty kicks after finishing in a tie at the end of the two 10 minute extra time, 1-1.

So close but some close misses added with an all to close goal for the visitors.

Softball continues a hard learning curve with a very young group of players and are now just working on improving over this season for better results next year.

Baseball lost both games against Wimberley as issuing walks in last Tuesday’s loss and then coming up short in Friday’s loss to the Texans.

                          Plug those Leaks Lake!

Track & Field had some highlights but these two sports at this stage of the season has coaches moving athletes to different events (especially relays) but that plus trying to figure out the best way to maximize students in how they compete in different events comes during these meets.

Yes a bad week performance wise but this week is a given that a good thing will happen when EASTER produces the best Win in the history of the world when JESUS DEFEATED DEATH so that we have a chance to enjoy Life Everlasting by putting our Faith in His Crucifixion and on Sunday RAISED FROM THE DEAD for all of our Sins.

Way to GO JESUS & Thanks for Your Sacrifice for us!!

                   Keep it Going Hawks!!

The Lake had a decent week after a successful Hawk Lady Soccer conquest of Legacy Ranch winning in a thriller extra-time contes, 5-3.

Now an Area Round will be tomorrow at Smithson Valley against San Antonio Cole with a 7:00pm start.
The Lake Soccer should be The Hawk Nation hit list with this contest that’s within getting to distance as this crew of ladies continue their historic season after reaching the 20 win and 100 goal standard in last week’s Bi-District win.

Baseball will enter their district schedule this week playing Wimberley with that first pitch away and then return for a home contest against the Texans on Friday. Look at Standings below.

                                     GO LAKE!

Track & Field were in Fredericksburg last week and will be at the Texan’s Relays this Thursday.

District will also be at the Billie Stadium with a Monday April 6th and Wednesday 8th.

Softball continues growing pains with their young team as they continue to improve during their district slate.

Let’s GO LAKE!

                    GET HITS HAWKS!

This week has less sports being in action than the Spring Break last week.

Baseball & Softball have front and only stage this week with both sports playing this Friday with Softball already being involved with their district schedule.

This Friday Softball will be battling at Long Creek with start time 6:00pm. Softball lost a ton of athletes to graduation last year and are presently one of the youngest Lake teams this spring.

Baseball will have their Gold JV team welcoming in Somerset’s JV team with first pitch at 430pm today.

CL’s Varsity Baseball and Green Squad will travel to San Antonio to play Taft High School with in a double header involving The Lake’s Green starting at 4:30pm and Varsity first pitch commencing at 6:30pm.

Last week, Canyon Lake’s Girls Soccer finished second in district after losing a close battle to Davenport, 2-1.

                                  GO LAKE!

The Hawk’s have the smallest district in Region IV with 6 schools while other districts, like the Bi-District opponents in the Austin area still shooting it out with 10 schools in their group.

The Lake finished with their best regular season sporing a, 19-2 record and will be the 2nd seed in the smaller school bracket.

At this writing CLake’s opponent would be between. Gateway. Lago Vista, or Jarrell. Last year, The Lake played Gateway from that district but more elimination bouts still needed to be decided.

Baseball finished last week with a, 2-1 record as this Friday’s contest with Taft being that last warm-up battle before meeting up with Wimberley in a week.

Records of District 26-4A Baseball is below:

                  Wins Lost Ties Pct
Canyon Lake 13 4 1 .750

Bandera 6 9 3 .417

This Week’s Schedule:

Don’t use your Hands in Soccer Lake!

The Lake ended last week with mixed review for Softball that is still working on making strides in preparation for district season as this young squad continues with wins & losses as reps remain the focus.

Baseball had a successful tournament by sweeping 4 opponents and you read that article on this site’s home page.

This week Baseball sub-varsity will venture to Lytle for a double header as CL’s Green & Gold team play on Monday.

Varsity Baseball has another 4 game tournament at home with Beeville visiting The Lake 730p to open the Comal Clash. Two games on Friday with Corpus Christi Moody (230a) and Tuloso-Midway (730a). Then Saturday will be determined with a team that played at one of the other Comal Schools this week.

                 Way to GO HAWKS!
Don’t forget to VOTE this week!

Track & Field showed improvement for this year[s boy team adding some depth and overall improvement overall. The Ladies won the Panther Relays in Navarro as this group of ladies continue to up their game as they get through this month. This Thursday the Hawks will be at Davenport and then will take their Spring Break off.

The Lady Soccer Squad will venture to Wimberley to face #1 Ranked Wimbo who won that first round contest, 3-1. With a win The Lake could tie for first if both schools run the table like the first round of contests. The Lake is also ranked 4th MaxPreps & 6th Girls Coaches Poll.

A lot of activities for The Hawk Nation so you can come out to support this year’s Lake Athletes or maybe even venture over to Wimberley to catch a great battle of Soccer….

& Let’s Go Lake!

                       High Noon says GO LAKE!

A lot of happenings last week with more on the way for another busy week for The Lake’s High School.

Check out The ReSporter article on Tennis as this group of Hawk Athletes had a successful two days in San Marcos with several players placing 3rd & 2nd and some close calls. (Pardon the Pun)

Boys Basketball finished their season being outside the playoff picture that could have had better results but this team lost 83 games for the top 8 players due to injury. Certainly a MASH unit this season.

Softball is in the midst of some growing pains while Baseball finished the week with a, 4-2 record with 4 more on their slate this week. All will be at the Hawk Nest.

Track & Field hosted the Hawk Relays and the Ladies started where they left off last year and won scoring 152 points with some good marks for their Junior Varsity and room for more improvement for the Varsity.

                         Let’s GO LAKE!

The Boys Track & Field have lapped last year’s team with a good showing with a 5th place showing and some athletes shuffling into the Top Ten with their efforts with potential for more to come.

This week Track will be in Navarro Panther Relays with start time, 1:00pm.

Girls Soccer are still ranked in the Top 5 in both Texas Polls as they went, 2-0 this past week and one game against Bandera on Friday. That next week will be a battle at Wimberley and a must win for a chance of having a chance of winning the district.

If you see an event and have an inkling then come out and support The Lake’s Hawks!

The ReSporter wants to show-off Advertiser’s since having great local support for this publication makes this site doable.

Having costs that involve travel and site upkeep helps this ReSporter being able to cover Canyon Lake High School Sports and show-off a group of young men and women that would not get that same type of coverage from around this area like a Smithson Valley which sucks all the air out of a room for schools such as The Lake.

Let these Advertiser’s know that you see them on this site and thank them for seeing articles like the one below.

Gordon the Plumber has been a part The ReSporter as an advertiser for the past 14 years while his boys were active in sports at the school. Gordon has helped with our water softener and many other plumbing problems throughout the years when needed.

The ReSporter will be bringing the Hawk Nation all the top athletes in these upcoming Spring Sports and will run an article after the season for those athletes who were able to crack the top 10.

These marks are based on The Top 10 Softball players for a season and as always~~~Let’s Go 2026 Lake Softball.

All-Time Softball Top-10 Stats Sponsored by Bunk Haus

Monday, February 9th, 2026

Cheyenne Fields & Aubrey Long graduated last year but were able to make it on The Top 10!                                                    Way to Go Former Lady Hawks!

                           GO LAKE!

The ReSporter wants to show-off Advertiser’s since not having great local support for this publication would make this site go down in smoke.

The Bunk Haus is located in Hancock and has been supporting this site for 8 years and if you have special occasions and need extra lodging then this would be a great place to bed your overflow of family or friends. Thanks Bunk Haus!!

The ReSporter will be bringing the Hawk Nation all the top athletes in these upcoming Spring Sports and will run an article after the season for those athletes who were able to crack the top 10.

Let’s Go 2026 Lake Softball.

                                   Way to GO LAKE!

Some tough losses during last week’s contests with boys basketball and girls soccer came up short but for basketball the Boys are still hanging on needing to win two of three remaining games for securing a post-season invite.

That would have a potential tie with Fredericksburg but the tie-breaker would go to The Lake based on two wins over the Billies if they accomplish their two of three victories.

For the Lady Soccer team their script still has a lot of lines with district just getting started and this tough district will have pitfalls for the majority of the schools and Canyon Lake’s loss was to a #1 Texan team.

Now The Lake Soccer will need to focus as Long Creek tied Davenport and beat Marble Falls showing this is certainly an upstart team and nothing is guaranteed….and then a battle on the road with The Falls on Friday will be another hurdle to clear.

                                    Let’s GO LAKE!

Softball gets going this week starting with Elgin on Tuesday with the Wurst Tournament starting on Thursday at the Hawk Nest with two games on Thursday & Friday with a ‘To Be Determined’ contest on Saturday at Noon.

Baseball started scrimmages last week and the first pitch is in a couple of weeks as Coach Escamilla fine tunes Pitching~Fielding~Batting in hope for an another successful season.

Track & Field will begin this Friday with the Comal Relays where CLake will see how they stack up against larger schools and the Lady Tracksters have a chance to repeat as District Champs with another solid core of athletes with sights on qualifying for Austin again this year.

Looking at the above week gives The Hawk Nation an idea of where they can take in a lot of sports to support,

Let’s Go Lake!
