Football: Hawk’s Freshman Take No Prisoner’s in, 45-8 Win Over Cougars

Canyon Lake’s Freshmen are now 2-0 this season after taking no prisoners in their, 45-8 bludgeoning of Creek View Cougars.

Just three of these Cougars 22 carries went for positive yardage and CC’s longest went for 7 yards. Add 3 lost fumbles and this game quickly became a blow-out.

Isaac Torres used his 11 touches by covering 194 yards and scoring three touchdowns.

Torres was not the only Hawk bringing home some good numbers.

All CL’s scores were double digits with a 13 yard scoring jaunt for Abel Wright the shortest but certainly could have continued to the Bus if the end-zone wouldn’t have stopped him.

Passing was not a thing of beauty but when a catch was made it was taken to the house.

QB Ethan Sinner’s completion to Brady Sanderfer catch and run went for a respectable 21 yards.

The line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball was dominant.

CL’s Defense on many plays had more Hawks on these Cougars line of scrimmage than the home team. A routine VC hand-off could have easily been to a Hawk.

Please excuse the stats below since the filming would in some cases be discombobulated….leading to some guessing on what happened and who had the ball.

Taking what was learned was a group of Freshman that took no Prisoners and finished this contest with a running clock.

An off week before a trip to Davenport for a Wednesday kick-off.
