Not a lot was going on last week at The Lake with Volleyball’s one game as that battle would end the non-district part of their schedule

Just a tidbit, Volleyball sports has a, 239-117 record during this phase and will once again enter district play sporting a, 17-11 record.

District will get underway at Davenport this Tuesday and then on the road Friday to Bandera. This will be anothe year of tough outings with 3 teams who have taken up residences in the Top 10 in state.

Tennis has the same type of hill to climb with several schools in district with impressive resumes. This week Tennis battles in Wimberley for the varsity and then a home bout on Thursday for the Junior Varsity.

Football starts district at home against district favorite Davenport this Thursday with kick-off 730pm.

Last week the Hawk’s Freshman stayed undefeated with a blow-out win over Cibolo Steele, 45-0.

This is a pretty impressive team that has outscored their first three opponents, 119-22 and now will go up against their toughest team at Davenport this Wednesday.

Both sub-varsity teams will be in Davenport but If you have a chance then come out and watch the future and the coming of age of these young men. Check out The ReSporter’s three articles on site.

Cross Country continues to run for a good finish with athletes that have a chance of reaching the State Meet. District will be in Bandera on October 8th.
