The ReSporter: What are your initial thoughts after your first scrimmages?
Coach Gallahger: “I was happy with how we played for our first scrimmage. Our varsity players played strong defense and all our pitchers threw pretty consistent. We rotated three catchers who did a good job as well. We didn’t hit as well as I would have liked but with a mixture of four lineups going it was hard to get a lot of at bats for any one player. We had some key hits and showed some power early on.” (more…)

It is now official, Canyon Lake Lady Hawks (29-6) have won the 3rd District Championship trophy for the Hawk’s sports teams, after dominating their last regular season contest over Bandera, 64-27.

They are seniors (Jacob Foster, Joseph Crisp, Ross Snowden, Brayden and Bradley Hight)who love to compete and love to see themselves improve. Reagan Heun finished her last home game scoring 22 points in win over Fredericksburg.
Canyon Lake Hawks are almost there as they took care of the Billies, 49-38 in a battle for sole possession of the top spot in District 28-4A play.

Canyon Lake Boy’s Basketball team will now have one game that will need to be on the winning side as they will combat Bandera next week in a game for having a playoff date as the end of the regular season after finishing 24 points to the bad in their game with Hondo, 73-49.
