Ranch Can’t Find a Legacy in, 5-3 Loss to The Lake

Cullen Barnhart throws another gem in Bi-District win over Legacy Ranch, 5-3.

                      Way to Go Hawks!

The Lake continued peaking at the right time scoring 5 runs and taking the lead after Legacy Ranch jumped out to a one run lead opening the game.

The Ranch made a statement to start this game with their first batter being hit by a pitch and then scored on a single by their clean-up hitter.

Luckily for the Hawk Nation this team had a penchant of bunching their arsenal during the bottom of the third inning that had 11 Hawk’s come to bat leading to this break out frame.

                          Break the Dam~ Lake! 

Ranch was without a Legacy while The Lake had their only out coming from a sacrifice bunt (Archer Miller) for those first 9 players who sauntered to the plate. The damage would be 5 runs which was highlighted with a double for Bryce May along with 3 singles (Carson Walker~Cullen Barnhart~Ryan Rena), two walks (Lucas Schexnayder~Walker) and Joshua Little taking one for the team being hit by a pitch.

Game~Set~Match!

These Wranglers would make things interesting as they scored twice during their 6th frame with both runs coming from fielding errors.

Other than that, Cullen Barnhart won his 3rd game in these last 8 days with another dominant performance from the pitcher’s mound.

Barnhart has pitched 18 innings surrendering one earned run while striking out 16 during that stretch. His era (earned run average) is 0.39 with this victory helping The Lake reach 20 wins for the 5th time in the last 6 years.

The Lake has morphed into a decent outfit as this Legacy Ranch team is a much better version of a 25-4A Bi-District team.

Canyon Lake will work on eliminating these Wranglers on a rainy day that might not be realized at 7:00pm in Liberty Hill.

A third game (if needed) would be played at Lehman High School at 1:00pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile this improved version for CL will continue to work on not having The Ranch able to find nothing instead of a legacy.
