The Hawks Gold football team finished their successful season with a loss to a Georgetown team that was just better. There would be no hanging of heads as the schedule was a more important aspect for this team.

Canyon Lake had pay back in their win over Bandera for a seldom used Monday contest that now has the Hawks making plans for their Bi-District tilt with the Salado Eagles next week.

The Lady Hawks took care of business in win over Fredericksburg, 25-19, 24-26, 25-21 and 25-19. The win can catapult Canyon Lake to a 3rd seed finish in District 28-4A with a win over Bandera this coming Monday.
The 3rd time was a charm for Canyon Lake’s Gold team after two previous games that ended in a tie, this Hawk Gold team took Freddie’s Red team in their final game of the series, 28-14.
