Canyon Lake’s battle against JFK Rockets was staged on Equinox Day which is celebrated across the hill country, as The Lake secured their first District 14 victim with a convincing, 68-24 win. Equinox is when the Sunrise was at 7:23am and sunset was 7:23pm settling behind the beautiful hills.

Hawk Freshman get defensive, (33) Leo Ehrich, (71) Rowdy Hrncirik, (56) Caleb Nidever, (53) Will Crisp, and (28) Brayden Sullivan. Way to Go Lake! 

The Hawk Freshman showed  that their 2nd quarter would be enough to be successful enough to add a defensive act after a shut-out over JFK Freshman, 22-0.

Recap from Last Week had CL’s Boys Water Polo right at the front porch needing a win on Tuesday at home against Davenport as these two schools are undefeated with a chance of securing a #1 Seed for the tournament that will start on Thursday.

                               Jack Stracener was a busy Hawk as he had an all-time 11 pat for one game. Go Hawks!!

Coming into this 4th game of the season, Canyon Lake (3-1) had accumulated 696 total yards and on this offensive night, The Lake, finished with 84% of that total after the new Hawk scoreboard would not blow a fuse in recording 117 total points.

   CL’s Freshman team talks strategy in their game with Veterans Memorial and win, 30-22.

Canyon Lake will look to extend their winning streak to 3 games when they meet Veterans Memorial tonight at the Hawk Nest.

The Lake has been making some great strides since their opening contest of this season and this battle tonight will give the Hawk Nation another idea of seeing improvement.

QB Damon Garcia & RB Brayden Sullivan classic RPO play was used to perfection in Hawk’s Freshman win over Veterans, 30-22.

Canyon Lake’s Freshman set the tone of their win over Veterans Memorial early and had.a 22-0 lead before The Visitors could put points on their board with 1 second on that first half clock.

Canyon Lake’s Boys Water Polo beat Smithson Valley, 17-4 and with this win a show-down next Tuesday when CL plays the only other undefeated team in district, Davenport, at the Hawk Nest a battle for #1 seed in the district playoff rounds. (more…)
