The Lake’s View Beat a Creek View, 55-18

The Canyon Lake’s View of the canyon tops the View’s view of the Creek in Hawks run-a-way win over Creek View Cougars at the Hawk Nest, 55-18.
It was a quick start seeing Canyon Lake scoring 31 points in that first quarter by taking 11 plays in the process.
Carson Walker returned a CV’s punt 36 yards leaving CL needing 22 yards for their first score and Aiden Boals galloped in from 7 yards out on The Lake’s second play.
The Lake traveled 83 yards in taking 4 plays for their next score. A 45 yard jaunt by Nico Wyckoff that was followed by a Thomas Inmon 27 yard catch and run from QB Jace Wheeler. Then Running Back Boals would have the honors for his 2 yarder for Lake’s next score.

A 2 play drive, 4 play drive then a 3 play drive that needed to convert a 3rd and 13 yards to keep drive alive.
Enter Peyton King with his 62 yard post route and a beautiful pass coming from Wheeler the dealer who finished with 3 passing scores.
Three more scores that needed two plays each helped finish this half with fireworks coming from:
Ryan Rena’s 49 yard run followed with a 32 yard Wheeler keeper around the edge.
A Wyckoff 20 yard run followed with an Inmon 29 yard pass play that also scored.
Two plays were plentiful: Run Pass First Drive > 22 yds 7 15 Fourth Drive > 49 yds 20 29 Fifth Drive > 81 yds 81 0 Sixth Drive > 18 yds 11 7

Then after a Charles Palmer fumble recovery left CL needing 18 yards for pay dirt. Two plays later it was Boals bolting for 11 yards then a 7 yard pass to Inmon for a CL comfortable 48-6 lead going into halftime.
The Lake’s last score had Canyon (fitting name) Bachmann’s 2 yard run and final touchdown, 55-18.
*The Lake’s special teams has been excellent this season as Wheeler is by far Canyon Lake’s best punter averaging 42 punts this season while finishing last season averaging 40.3 yards. With or without the wind does not matter.
*Colten Adams has been the same with consistent kickoffs for touchbacks or fielded inside the 10 yard line who now has his first field goal in his career is Nails!
*By marking this will reverse a possible jinx.
This game certainly showed off The View of our Lake’s beauty when compared to a Creek view.
Let’s GO LAKE!
