Football: Hawk Freshman Get Back in Line in, 42-8 Win Over Cooks

#21 Canyon Buchmann looks to follow #19 Walker Galvan for another long gain in, 42-8 victory over Austin Crockett JV. Go Hawks!

The Lake’s Freshman Football team was able to get their bad taste loss to Wimberley after a dominating win over Austin Crockett Junior Varsity, 42-8 by winning the trenches on both sides of the ball.

                       Let’s Go Lake!

CL Freshman rushed out to a quick 21-0 first quarter lead and was then able to coast the rest of this contest allowing just one score for the home team while scoring 3 more times.

Brayden Hamilton broke the 100 yard battier by running over defenders and when he was able to break into the open responded with a 51 yard scoring run after outrunning the Coogs during this 3rd quarter that had this game going into get everyone of the field stage.

QB Damon Garcia was back taking snaps and uncorked a 68 yard pass to Archer Miller on a play that ended the scoring during that first half of play.

It was a good rebound contest which knots their record to, 1-1 and having next Thursday being a home game with Navarro starting at 5:00pm.

Canyon Lake ‘Hawk’ Proud!!

The Hawks were able to hold this Coog team to a 117 total yards of offense. (Stats based on 3 quarters due to The ReSporter arriving late **Flat Tire)

A much cleaner game compared to that opener which is a good sign as improving each week is a goal that bodes well as this season continues.

Way to Go Freshman Hawks!!
