Lady Hawk’s Track & Field Look to Qualify for Region Wednesday
Aubrey Avey, Te’a Gonzales, Savanna Oberholtzer and Shana Cutrer scored 98 points in last week’s District Meet.

The Lake’s Ladies Track Team has been tearing it up these last few years and this season was no different. There were 7 events that set a Top 10 All-Time number 1 mark with several Underclasswoment that look ready to keep improving for next season.
The Lake will be involved in an Area Meet this Wednesday in Lago Vista and looking below you will notice if this team does not improve on any race they would still go onto Kingsville in two weeks for Regional Meet.
There is certainly a lot of cream at the top in this class with several ladies wanting to return to Austin for better results in making their mark.

Canyon Lake has presently two events that have State Champions with Marisa Ellis winning the High Jump during the 2013 season and a more recent Pole Vault exploits for Alencia Lentz who joined Ellis at the top of the heap at the State Meet.
Could there be another Lake Student ready to set another Top Performance? Time will tell but for now taking that next step this week still has to be on the forefront as there is not another try by not finishing in the Top 4 in this Area round.

Regional will have the top 4 from three other Area Meets around South Texas and The ReSporter will share marks from those different meets who qualify for Regionals.
