                                Haul’em Off Hawks!

The Lake had a decent week of action with Volleyball spiking a, 5-1 record and making the Gold Bracket at the SAISD Tourney.

This week the Ladies will host a Texas Showdown Tournament and this article will update that first day of games and times laster this week.

Head Coach Daniella surmised, “This past weekend the girls went, 4-1 earning their way into the gold bracket by playing clean low error volleyball. We have a tough tournament this weekend for the Texas Showdown with many top teams in the area.”

Daniella concluded, “This competition will be high level volleyball that will help sharpen our game to prepare for the same competition in our district. Iron sharpen iron and we are looking to improve our game each week!”

The Hawk Football finished their scrimmage part of the season against an opponent that had a lot of speed which will certainly be strengths of several district teams this year.

                         Plug those Leaks Fast Lake!

This scrimmage had The Lake with a, 14-6 score in their end of scrimmage 12 minute quarter.

After giving up a quick score to Veterans Memorial the Hawk Defense bolted down the hatches which allowed C-Lake scoring an explosive pass play to Kobe Halverson from QB Jace Wheeler and a Wheeler to Ryan Rena for a last second score.

The running game had Nico Wyckoff scoring from 13 yards out as he whittled through the line for that score.

Now the curtain will be raised in Wimberley this Friday at 730pm with the Sub-Varsity teams getting things going at the Hawk Nest on Thursday with a 500p start for the Freshman followed by CLJV’s battle with the Texans.
