CL Hawks Basketball Start Season with, 74-57 Win over Luling

Canyon Lake opened their 2024-25 season with a win over Luling, 74-57 on Tuesday at the Hawk Nest.
The Lake was led by the trio of Dalton Stromquist (22 pts), Jacob Holland (18) points, and Christian Cheathum (15) points as the Hawks had all points from there whole roster.
Holland buried 6 three-pointers which gives him 84 for his career that is 5th place on the all-time list and passed Jaxson Jeter (365 pts) for 15th place in scoring (374 pts) that will be a fun back and forth this season.
Jeter led C-Lake with 11 assists and the team finishing with 23 assists in this battle.
Canyon Lake led throughout this contest and had their largest lead during at the 6:50 mart of the 4th quarter at 25 points, 64-39 while the Eagles capped off this loss scoring 20 points in that final period.
With the Hawk Football team starting post-season play, Canyon Lake, has 3 players on that roster (Carter Williams-Eli Hammons-Harris Gilliam) that will hopefully be absent for a few more weeks. Sorry Coach Cole….
The Lake’s next game will be at Faith Academy this Saturday with an 11am tip-off.
