The defense was anchored by Julian Hernandez and Xavier Espinosa, along with Goalkeeper Shawn Bell, who earned a clean sheet (shut-out) while making four (4) saves.
“Great first game of the 2021 Season, lots to work on, but can’t ever be disappointed in opening the season, on the road, with a shut-out, scoring four goals, and with a victory,” said Canyon Lake Head Coach Cody Schroeder. “We didn’t see everything we wanted to see, but we saw great effort, enthusiasm, energy. Lots of work, but we understand it will be a season long process”
